MY NEW FAVORITE PRODUCTS!

Let me introduce you to these life-changing products. I’m sure after you place an order of your own, you’ll be just as in love as I am with these lippie stix and shadows! Alright, where do I even begin ?! So, of course I’ve been hearing LOADS about the brand, Colourpop, on Instagram, Youtube & on this makeup app called MakeupSocial. It’s all the rage right now! Beauty gurus already have collabs with them & MUAs are raving about the products. So of course, I placed an order & let me tell you – it’s the first of MANY. The best part is that everything is $5, nothing more, nothing less. So can easily tally up your cart before purchasing so you know how big of a hole you want to make in your wallet. Did I mention they’re cruelty free?! Even better!

I ordered 3 lippie stix & 4 eyeshadows. My favorite part of their packages is the cute handwritten note. I’ve seen loads of messages in various girls hauls & they’re always something witty or funny!

Eyeshadows from L-R: Meow, Shameless, Play, Cricket || Lippie Stix: Dalia, Lumiere

* Eyeshadows are swatched on top of MUAD Cosmetics‘ eye base. *

CPSwatchesWhen I tell you that both products literally feel like clouds, I’m not lying. The eyeshadows are incredibly soft; so soft that I feel like if I press my finger on the product too hard that I’m going to harm it (as if it’s a living thing!) They’re some of the softest eyeshadows I’ve EVER encountered & I love it! I’m sure they’re going to blend like a DREAM! Now don’t get me started on the Lippie Stix! Can you say, smooth like butter ?! Hello! These lipsticks are INCREDIBLY creamy & glide on really well! (Just be gentle & not an idiot like me who snapped off the top half of Dalia while swatching, bc ya know, I’m clearly not gentle enough |sad face|) I know I said I ordered three but yet there’s only two pictured…yeah, that’s because I ordered one in the shade Pitch for my mother and as soon as she swatched it she took it. So, it’s no longer in my possession lmao. She loved it so much that she told me to order her 2 more as backups (but I’ll surprise her bc I’m a nice daughter and order her at least 4). My swatches don’t do these shadows justice so don’t judge based on my photo with horrible quality. I’m telling you, it’s perfect.

I can’t wait to use these products in upcoming tutorials! I’m back & ready to roll out these posts like hot cakes! If you’d like to see anything specifically posted on my blog pleaaaase leave me a comment (or email) and tell me!

Favorite nude lipstick EVER!

I bought this lipstick from MAC before my vacation to Greece a few weeks ago, and I’m obsessed with it! When I walked over to the counter, I wasn’t looking at anything specific. However, I have been eyeing “Velvet Teddy” for awhile and wanted to see what it looked like in person. After seeing it in person, I knew it would be waaaay too light for me. Then I looked at one called “Taupe“, and fell in love. The girl who walked over to me asked if I wanted to try it on, but I told her “No, I just want to buy it!” I KNEW it would look great, and so I happily walked over to the counter (as my mom looked on, rolling her eyes) and bought the lipstick! & In my opinion, it looks fabulous!

SALES SALES SALES!

My favorite words when it comes to makeup are SALE, & LIMITED-EDITION. ESPECIALLY limited-edition. I automatically buy a product I’ve been eyeing if I see it says limited-edition; it’s a BAD habit but I just can’t help myself! The other word I loooove is of course, SALE. I mean, WHO DOESN’T?! I got these new babies at a store called Amazing Savings & let me tell you – I was shocked when I saw how cheap they were there! I got two Maybelline Color Tattoos for $1.99 ea (Reg price: $5.99 ea) & this L’oreal Extra Intense Eyeliner for $2.99 (Reg Price $8.99 ea)!

DEALS

I’ve tested all three products and I love them ALL! If you like to see a review on any of the products below, OR want a pictorial using these products, Let me know in the comments below! If you live near an Amazing Savings, go check out their cosmetics corner & tell me what deals YOU find! x

New Purchases!

I walked into my local drugstore with my neighbor a few weeks ago & even though I had no intentions of buying anything new – I walked out with two products! I truly didn’t want to buy anything, mainly because I had no money on me & also because I’m trying to save for my vacation in 2 weeks, however, she offered to buy me something if I really wanted it – so how could I say no?! Haha!

These are two products I’ve been eyeing for quite some time: Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the shade Honey & Wet N Wild’s Lipstick in Cherry Bomb! I’ve tested out both products & have had positive results with both! I’ll post a FAB or DRAB review on the concealer within the next few weeks & I’ll post a First Impression post on the lipstick as soon as I wear it out! x

FAB or DRAB: Ardell 333

In these posts, I’ll review products that I’ve purchased and tell you whether or not I liked them! I’ll rate the product as hearts,  ♥ out of 5.

ARDELL

  • Results: ♥♥♥♥♥/5 .. FAB!!!!
  • Pros: Super easy to apply, look very natural – no one knew i was wearing lashes when I wore them to work! Affordable – only $7 for two pairs of lashes compared to buying 1 pair for around $5.
  • Cons: The only con I could think of when reviewing this product is that the glue that comes with the lashes, doesn’t really last too long because I know my inner corners loosened after a few hours, but of course that could be my own fault – maybe I blink too much, who knows! LOL

I recommend everyone get these lashes! I wore the top pair (in the picture) have yet to wear the bottom ones, but I’m saving them for a special occasion. They have a collection out with other disney princesses, and I want to get them all! Look for them at Walgreens! xo

Let’s talk highlighters!

So up until my 22nd birthday last month, I never wore highlighter. I never felt the need to highlight my face, especially because I never wore foundation, so I didn’t feel it was necessary. However, my brother and his girlfriend gave me makeup for my birthday and one of them was a Hard Candy highlighter! Below I’ll feature the name, brand, and swatch – compared to Benefit’s Watts Up!

Highlighters

As you can see, both swatches are pretty similar. However, the Watts Up is lighter in color, and of course, the texture is creamy vs the Hard Candy one which isn’t. I’ve been using the Hard Candy one almost daily, being as I’m not too big of a fan of creamy products. However, that doesn’t mean Watt’s up isn’t a great product! This was a sample size I got from Sephora on my birthday last year and since you don’t need loads – it’ll last for a LONG time! The Hard Candy highlighter I’ve been using for about a month now and you can see it still has it’s shape! I’ll own this literally until I’m like 90! Gotta love finding affordable products that are long-lasting!!

Nudes Galore!

I LOOOOOVE NUDE LIPSTICKS. No, like, I really, really do. I think the reason I liked it so much was because I never owned any bold colored lipsticks. I was always too scared to attempt to try a bright colored lip – I wouldn’t want all the attention. That sailboat sailed long ago, of course, and now I’m hooked – but nudes will always have a place in my heart. Here’s a list/swatch of my favorites!

NUDES

From Left to Right (in picture with the tubes):

  • Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick → Lolita
  • Bite Beauty Lip Pencil → Rhubarb
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream → London
  • Mary Kay Tinted Lip Balm → Apricot
  • Maybelline Colorsensational → 925 Maple Kiss

I love all of these so much! My favorite, however, would have to be the NYX Lip Cream! It’s matte, creamy and the color perfectly compliments my skin tone! x It’s a MUST!

Favorite pink lipgloss!

When I went to see Bruno Mars in July (which was absolutely AMAZING!!!) I borrowed a pink top from my friend, & wanted a matching pink gloss. I ran to Rite Aid before getting ready to see if I could find just that – boy was I wrong. I didn’t have much time to get ready, so I just grabbed the first pink gloss I found. I don’t even remember the brand, the shade, nothing. I hated it! I gave the lipgloss away to my aunt. It did not give me any color payoff whatsoever! It was super translucent, but looked really opaque in the tube – oh the joys of makeup.

10457930_10203945495585056_5234932048014586066_n

I ended up wearing my Lime Crime Velvetine (in the shade Red Velvet) which is my absolute FAVE red lipstick ever. I figured, the shirt is dark enough, I could get away with wearing a red lip with the pink top. Then of course, days later, I find the perfect pink lipgloss. It’s Rimmel London’s Stay Glossy in the shade 360 Fuschia Fever. You’ll see in the swatch, the pigment is amazing! It claims to last up to 6 hours & add shine. I haven’t worn it for long enough to know if it has that staying power, but it DEFINITELY adds shine & color!

PINKGLOSS

Anyone own this gloss? If not, you MUST!

Would you like to see a post on my Bruno Mars Concert Makeup? It was a glittery eye with dark crease (using the Electric Palette) Let me know in the cmnts! x
